Persimmon Tree Chinese Medicine

Cosmetic Acupuncture

In the west, in a quest for beauty, we are often seeking “youthful beauty”. What Chinese Medicine offers is “healthful beauty”. We work on purifying within and consequently expressing radiance in the face.

What’s involved

  • The practitioner gaining a deep insight into your overall health.
  • Body acupuncture aimed to work with cellular memory, and access deep reservoirs of energy.
  • Facial acupuncture to increase muscle tone, promote blood circulation, help eliminate fine lines and diminish larger wrinkles.
  • Interdermal needling of wrinkles to stimulate firoblasts – a precursor to collagen production.*
  • Renewal mask containing Chinese herbs to stimulate blood flow and deeply nourish and tone the skin.
  • Antioxidant containing cream or essential oil to moisturise the skin and, to complete the treatment, a jade roller.
  • Diet and lifestyle advice to support the health of your body and rejuvenation of your face

* According to a 2008 study in the Journal of Chinese Medicine.

After the first treatment there is an increased glow in the complexion. There is more clarity in the eyes, wrinkles start to lessen and the skin appears more toned.

A significnt difference in the appearance happens following the 5th to 7th treatment with a marked change in wrinkles and skin tone. General health and constitutional issues improve.

By the end of the course of treatment the client will feel and look younger.

Treatment Timeline

The timeline is evaluated after the response to the initial treatment.

1 – 2 treatments a week, usually 12 – 15 treatments, constitutes a course.

Maintenance is usually one treatment per month for clients with good general health to provide support against the normal process of ageing.
